The event is to be telecasted by Sony Entertainment. The prominent award show began in 1954. The Filmfare Awards got widely noticed for its sheer star presence and long-standing association with Hindi cinema.

Why AR Rahman received a special trophy? What is so special about him? There are many music directors who are much better than him. His music is very boring. All the songs of Rockstar sound same to me, I cannot even differentiate one song from the other. Rockstar is a bad movie, very bad story and the songs are even worse.
